"God's Work. Our Hands." Service Project

Join us at NJLC for our annual day of service. This is a day to connect with our community and support some worthy charities and organizations in need. "God's Work. Our Hands." begins with worship at 10:00 a.m. A potluck luncheon is planned for that afternoon. Our list of this projects for 2016's event include:

  • Quilting for Lutheran World Relief (LWR)

  • Assembling health kits for LWR

  • Knitting prayer shawls

  • Assembling care kits for local distribution

  • Food pantry sorting and stocking

  • Weeding/mulching New Jerusalem garden

  • Assisting with lunch set-up and breakdown

We are excited to be out and about in the Lovettsville community this year, as we will be weeding, mulching, and planting at Lovettsville town sign and office as well as distributing some shawls to Lovettsville Elder Care Center down the road.

We also will commemorate the anniversary of 9-11. Sign up sheets for the potluck will be in the fellowship hall, and donation bags for the food pantry will be distributed during services on 8/28 and 9/4. Check back for more details on this year’s event!
